| My wife and I took a few days of her spring
break to explore some trails near Florence, AZ. This area is known for
it's 5+ trails such as Woodpecker Mine, Martinez Canyon, and others.
Since we were wheelin' alone we decided
to take some tamer runs. The coke ovens although rated a 3 in Scott Deuty's
"Four Wheel Drive Trails of Arizona" book, is in my opinion a 4. This is
most likely due to trail erosion over the past 4 years since the book was
written. Off camber squeezes with steep drop offs, gnarly hill climbs and
more, await you on this scenic trail.
Since I do the photography and the driving
I can't show you the best that the trail has to offer. In the photos below
